Miranda Barker, BA

Miranda is passionate about the importance of self-exploration and self-love. As a highly sensitive person, she has learned to embrace what often felt like a life-long barrier. She now sees the strength and worthiness of her sensitivity and believes everyone has the potential to nourish their inner power. Providing an environment filled with acceptance, compassion, and trust is essential in her work as a therapist. Her experience includes financial trauma, positive parenting, and training in several treatment approaches and modalities.

As someone who has struggled to manage anxiety and feelings of guilt, especially after becoming a mother of a highly sensitive child, she truly empathizes with those who struggle to utilize coping skills while emotionally activated. Something that is extremely important to Miranda is teaching clients effective skills that are practical and manageable based on each individual/family’s needs.

She has knowledge and certifications in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectal Behavior Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma Recovery, Neurolinguistic Programming, and Mindfulness.

Miranda works primarily with adults and enjoys both individual and couple’s therapy. She is skilled in addressing addiction, emotional dysregulation, parenting concerns, processing trauma, relationship struggles, anxiety, and women’s issues. Miranda is driven and motivated to establish a therapeutic relationship that fosters trust and growth. She will be working out of Minnetonka, MN both in office and via Telehealth.
