Jody is a Licensed Social Worker with a master’s degree in social work and has been practicing since 2020. She brings a steady, compassionate presence to therapy, creating a space where clients feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood. Jody has extensive experience supporting adolescents and adults through anxiety, depression, addiction, grief and loss, trauma (past and present), relationship challenges, parenting concerns, aging, and major life transitions.

In addition to her clinical work, Jody has served as an LSW Supervisor with White Earth Indian Child Welfare, deepening her understanding of complex family systems, trauma, and cultural responsiveness. Her background also includes emergency care and abuse intervention, allowing her to work effectively with clients facing intense or overwhelming experiences.

Jody’s therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, self-empowerment, and evidence-based care. She is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Grief Counseling & Treatment, trained in EMDR and Brainspotting, and incorporates Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, professional addiction counseling, and children’s counseling as appropriate. She believes healing happens when clients feel supported while gaining practical tools to create meaningful change.

Jody works collaboratively with clients, honoring their strengths and resilience while helping them reconnect with themselves and move forward with clarity and confidence.

Jody is working under supervision of Melissa Raatz, MSW, LICSW - MN Board of Social Work Approved Supervisor.
