Elliot Shively
MSW, LGSW
It is important to me that the clients I work with feel seen, heard, and supported when processing difficult life experiences and feelings. Through a trusting and safe therapeutic relationship, my goal is to help you get to the root cause of symptoms to help offer relief as well as redirect maladaptive patterns to positive changes.
As a considerate and genuine therapist, I am informed and specialize in childhood trauma, adult-onset trauma, relationships, anxiety, phobias and exposure therapy, depression, grief and loss. I utilize attachment theory, psychodynamic theory, self-psychology, and intersubjective theory to drive sessions with my clients.
I understand finding a therapist that you can trust and be vulnerable with is an important decision to make. I offer a free 15 minute consult to determine if we are a good fit. I look forward to the opportunity of working with you. Congratulations on making the big first step to helping yourself.
I am currently accepting new clients and offer therapeutic services both in-person and via Telehealth.
I received both my undergraduate degree and master’s degree from the University of St. Thomas. I am working under supervision of Colin Hollidge, Ph.D, LICSW and Melissa Raatz, MSW, LICSW.
Elliot sees clients In-Person (Minnetonka) or via Telehealth.
